Maintenance: Mesh vs Solid
Mesh
- Standard/Lite:
- Blocks 95% of the sunlight.
- Ultra/Rugged Mesh:
- Blocks 99% of the sunlight.
Mesh covers are self-draining, eliminating the need to pump water off. Requires little to no maintenance in the winter months.
Solid
- Completely Solid Cover:
- Block 100% sunlight. Not self-draining, requiring the water to be regularly pumped off.
- Solid Cover with a Drain Strip/Panels:
- Self-draining with the possibility of having standing water; still requires the need of a submersible pump.
Both styles require more maintenance throughout the winter months.
